Hello Everyone
I heard about your story from my professor at Cal State
University Dominguez Hills located in Carson, CA. I just finished looking
at your classes website and I am extremely proud of your 5th grade class and
your teacher. As the school year is coming to an end, are you going to a
new school? You must be very proud of yourselves for all the hard work
you have put into something you care deeply about.
I work as an aid in a 5th grade classroom in Gardena,CA and
I cant wait to share with them what other 5th graders are doing across the
country. Luckily, our principal has put in long hours getting money for
improving the school. But Im sure my 5th graders will be amazed at what
hard work you all are doing-it may even motivate them to do something to help
out!
When I read stories such as these it reminds me that there
still is that joy that only a teacher can receive. In todays world of
teaching, I often hear teachers complain of the monotony of the classroom
environment and how there is no fun, excitement or enjoyment in teaching
anymore. After reading Room 405's story, I know that this is not true and
I can't wait to have my own classroom so I can motivate my students to stand up
and do something.
Keep up the Good Work!!!!
