Byrd Academy
The Richard E Byrd Community Academy is not a good place for kids to
learn. The main reasons for this are because the restrooms and
classroom look like an alley because an alley has garbage around it
and the bathroom have dirt and spitballs on the floor and on the
walls. The classroom look like an alley because there holes in the
windows and brown stuff on the ceiling .The school looks dirty and
smells like garbage. I hope we get a new school so we can be smarter
kids. A new school will have fewer distractions.
In the restroom the walls are dirty and look like mud. There are no
doors if you want to use it. Water is leaking from the urinals. In
fact it smells like human waste because the toilets do not flush. The
sinks leak a lot of water and sometimes it spray out a lot of water
some of the handles are missing on the sink in the bathroom. A school
need good bathroom because people do not want to see big dirt piles
on the floor and it is human waste in the toilets.
Here are a few examples of the problems in the school. The windows
are old and dirty. The big map fell down and we need it for social
studies. We need the map for social studies to find where Indians and
other people are located. The thermostats do not work. The heat does not
work so the rooms are always cold. There is no AC in the summer. It
is too hot to work.
Because of all these things I can not learn. I want to learn and I am
an honor roll student. The chalk boards are hard to see because they
to re dirty and old. It will be bad to use it and a dirty bathroom.
Even better if the room was nicer. Byrd is not a good place learn
because the classroom is old, the desk is dirty, and the noise around
us. The problem is the restroom and the classrooms look at the
pictures and see what we talking about.
