I think idea the about project will turn out great and also is a good oppurtunity.

My favorite part of the project is that we get to interview people on
giving us information on getting a new school. this is cool because we have a choice to choose whaat we want

I beleive that when kids get to create their own master plan on getting I
believe that when that happens

I am scared about this part of the project like when we do get a new school they migt just tear it back up and th school would be no use

The poroject makes me feel nervous cause i try too listen people ruined it

  1. What is a petition? A piece of paper that people sign for support
    for important stuff.

    2. Why are we having people sign our petition? For the support of getting a
    new school.

    3. I felt successful with the petition becuase I thought I was going to get a
lot of signatures but I only got 5.

    4. The easiest part of the petition was showing them the problems.

    5. This was easy because they under stood the problems with my school.

    6. The hardest part of the petition was getting signatures.

    7. This was hard because the say they have to think about it.

    8. When I was petitioning, I enjoyed letting them sign it.

    9. I enjoyed it because it was fun the way you explain to them.

    10. When I was petitioning, I disliked when some one disturbs while doing
    buiness.

    11. I dislike it because they ask too many questions at one time.

    12. My next steps for petitioning are to get more signatures.

2/18

  1. What is a survey? A answer test that you have someone take for support.

    2. Why are we having students and teachers take our survey? To see do they agree with what were talking about.

    3. I felt successful with the survey becuase they communicate actually right
    without cursing.

    4. The easiest part of the survey was explainig it to them.

    5. This was easy because they under stood

    6. The hardest part of the survey was walking to there without being shy.

    7. This was hard because i just didnt think to myself.

    8. When I doing the survey, I enjoyed asking people for there support

    9. I enjoyed it because they can do it with one or two
    questions to ask.

    10. When I was surveying, I disliked actually I didnt.

    11. I dislike it because I just didnt dislike it.

    12. My next steps for surveying are telling them more information.

2/19

  1. STATEMENT: Yesterday Mr. Schultz went to the Board Members of the Constitutional Rights Foundation (CRF) to present the great things Room 405 is doing.
How does this make you feel? Why? I think its great because he's supporting our insdustry.

    2. STATEMENT: The class was successful getting many responses to our school wide survey.
How does this make you feel? Why? It makes me feel like Im taking of buisness.

    3. STATEMENT: Everyone in the class was supposed to get 125 signatures on the petition to show support. Not everybody has.
How does this make you feel? Why? It makes me feel like I'm not apart. And also jealous.

    4. What can Room 405 students do to get more signatures on the petition? Pay attention to the teacher to get all the information you can.

    5. Do you think it is important to continue getting signatures on the petition? Yes. Because I think its helping our project better.

    6. Now that many classes have returned their surveys, what is the next step? sit down and have a disscusion and talk about it.

    7. What do you think the surveys will reveal about the feelings and thoughts about the kids and teachers at Byrd Academy? That if we get a new school they wonder how ther room will look.

    8. What is going to be a good way to share the results of the survey? With the school? With the community? With the city? With the Board of Education? If we let them know about the collaborotory we'll have a lot of comments.

    9. STATEMENT: Mr. Schultz combined all the students stories into a letter that was hand delivered to Rev. Jesse Jackson yesterday.
How does this make you feel? Why?I feel Like were going to get a new school.

    10. STATEMENT: Mr. Schultz used the same letter but changed who it was made out to and gave it to all the board members at the CRF meeting yesterday and it was very well received. Some members even want to come to our school based on the invitation from the class. How does this make you feel? Why? it'll make me happy like were going to get a new school.

    11. STATEMENT: One alternative solution to our class policy will be to combine Byrd Academy with another nearby school.
How does this make you feel? Why? I dont thik It'll be fair cause we want a new school thats by it self.

    12. If Byrd got combined with another school, is our fight worth it? Why? I dont think so. Because its not worth being combined. Because they probably start a lot of violence.

    13. I feel that I have been contributing to our cause because I have had responesibility of trying to convience people to under stand our problem.

    14. Our next steps for our action plan should be ahead with the project.

    15. To make this more fun and interesting we should be on the ball.

Based on what Ms. Citera wrote to you, what will happen if you do not reach the "perfect" solution to your Project Citizen plans?

We do not obtain a new school heres an if we dont get a new school
the author says if we dont get a new school all weve done is gone down the
drain.cause after the hard work we did peititons following our action plan.

I know the subject because I'm working for the project like if every body saw us on the news then we could get more information people will start
paying attention and I think we have the oppurtunity of getting a new school
